Jewelry Care
Gold Vermeil
Proactive maintenance is key. To keep tarnish from setting in, clean your pieces regularly by wiping them with a soft, dry cloth.
If your vermeil discolors, use the polishing cloth to revive it. Please note: Polishing cloths can be abrasive, so apply gentle pressure and don’t over-polish.
Do not use steam cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners on vermeil jewelry.
Sterling Silver (S925)
Proactive maintenance is the best way to prolong the lifespan of sterling silver. Clean by wiping with a soft, dry cloth. To remove tarnish, buff gently with a silver polishing cloth.
Ultrasonic cleaners are safe to use on silver jewelry.
Store jewelry separately in our Aesturre pouches so that they do not tangle, rub or scratch one another. Our pouches have an anti-tarnish lining for ease of care.
Store your jewelry in a safe and dry place when not worn. Avoid exposure to sunlight, moisture (like the bathroom or humid areas) and extreme temperatures.
Wear your pieces often to prevent them from tarnishing.
Avoid exposing your jewelry to extreme temperatures and humidity. These conditions can cause jewelry to expand or contract, resulting in potential damage.
Exposure to water, chlorine, sweat and saltwater can cause jewelry to tarnish faster. We recommend taking off your jewelry before showering, bathing, exercising heavily, or swimming.
Avoid spraying perfume, applying creams, hand sanitizer or any other liquids on your jewelry. Cosmetics, hairsprays and lotions can leave a film that dulls the appearance of your jewelry. Remove your jewelry before applying any liquids and wait for them to dry before wearing it again.
